888 in deal with Hacksaw Gaming

Mammoth online casino firm, 888 Holdings has struck a deal with Hacksaw Gaming; the Malta located online games provider, with the platform Pariplay Fusion to play an important part in facilitating this.

It is being viewed as a key, strategic partnership by industry insiders and one that can substantially benefit all involved. With 888 already a global brand in the casino industry and with a substantial portfolio of sites, this is significant for Hacksaw, who have steadily grown their reputationin the industry over the last 12 months.

Known in particular for creating disruption in the industry due to their innovative approach to game development. It is not just this, but also the prizes that can be won from these games, with available jackpots as much as €25 million.

This is, in itself also represents a catch for 888 and there will be a considerable amount of tactical decision making as to where their focus will lie, both in terms of the games that they offer and the brands that they offer them on.

The first quarter of 2021 has seen a considerable amount of traction in the online gambling industry, with a multitude of deals happening, especially in the software niche, involving more boutique firms establishing partnerships with either bigger developers or operators.

It is just the latest in what could be a flurry of more deals that happen over the next few weeks, with 888 looking to explore the possibility of increasing their global reach into new markets.

Swift growth for Hacksaw Gaming

Only launched in 2018, the Malta based software provider has witnessed exponential growth over the last couple of years. Of course, it helps that they are virtually at the centre of the online gaming universe, being situated in the location that they are in, with many operators, agencies and software providers taking up residence there in recent years.

Arguably, one of their biggest selling points is that they have some of the industry’s biggest prizes for their games and this makes them an attractive proposition for new clients. Indeed, 888 certainly thought so, with the operator needing to continually find ways to compete with rivals such as mega firm Entain, who boast in excess of 25 different brands.

COO of Hacksaw Gaming, Marcus Cordes was bullish about this deal, eluding to the fact that thay will be working with one of the biggest brands in the industry, which will enable the software provider to showcase their considerable portfolio to the vast array of customers that 888 has.

Coup for Pariplay?

For Pariplay, especially, this is being seen as somewhat of a big development for them, particularly because 888 have their own separate technology division; Dragonfish Games, who have many different platforms and options on which to host new games.

They are officially marketed as an online gambling aggregator, who in addition to offering multiple robust and dynamic platforms, also create their own games for a plethora of operator and also bigger software provider clients, including NetEnt.

What is interesting about this deal, is that there are three parties involved, with Pariplay almost coming in under the radar.
