Yggdrasil Gaming flexes muscles with move into Hungarian market

Online gambling software provider Yggdrasil Gaming has further spread its wings in its tactical growth plan strategy after entering the swiftly emerging Hungarian market.

The news comes after they struck an agreement with CasinoWin - a land-based gambling operator, for the distribution rights in Hungary for their products.

What this means is that the customers of the operator (Casino Win), can gain access to Yggdrasil Gaming’s substantial portfolio of slot games as they seek to add more credibility to their brand.

While Casino Win is well-established as a land-based gambling operator in Hungary, it is also just one of 11 in the country that is allowed to provide online games to players.

For the software provider, this is seen as a key progression in their journey in its focus to enter more regulated markets in 2021 around the world. Merely a month after entering the Swiss market, their entry into Hungary demonstrates a proactive approach and their clear thirst for further momentum.

Following the news, Chief of Global Market Operations for Yggdrasil Gaming, Bjorn Krantz highlighted how big a step this was for the software provider, indicating that this represents a great opportunity for the company to expand its awareness of the products in its portfolio across emerging new markets.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director at Casino Win, Zsolt Kruppa indicated his delight at securing the partnership, making reference to the fact that the brand has a very strong portfolio of products that will only help Casino Win to further increase its credibility.

Over the last two years, Yggdrasil has posted impressive stats due to consistent and steady growth after securing deals with a number of big operators in the industry and the development of new products such as table games and new license agreements.

About Yggdrasil Gaming

Having only been founded in 2013 by their Swedish parent company Cherry AB, the software provider has gone from strength to strength in a considerably short space of time. With an emphasis on providing world-class content aggregation via a group of developers using robust and scalable infrastructure, such as their own unique Game Adaptation Toolkit and Interface (GATI), they supply some of the most prominent operators in the world.

Over the last year alone, while expanding their global reach, they have also built on their core values, through IP licensing and have seen a considerable surge in market traction.

With well in excess of 90 games, unique to Yggdrasil that focuses on specific niches, they have become known for their innovation and ability to quickly take a new game to market, using their highly sophisticated in-house technology.

What also helps to set Yggdrasil Gaming apart from its competitors is the level of detail that they go into when creating a new slot game, with an emphasis on stunning graphics which makes for a highly visually aesthetic experience for the player.

What next for Yggdrasil?

After an impressive last few years, there is no doubt that the software provider will be looking to continue with its growth expansion plans and appear to have a more focused strategy in terms of where they want to go.

Based on their last couple of partnerships, that seems to be right now, forming strategic alliances in new European markets where there is clear potential for future growth over the next few years.

With their competition continuing to develop and innovate, Yggdrasil know that they need to keep the current commercial momentum in order to make sure that there is the capability of becoming the major force that they are without a doubt able to do.
